Wireless standards - soon with the new 11n

There are almost four different wireless standards on the market. The first is 802.11a, the second 802.11b, and the 11g stardard was approved summer 2003. Late in 2007 a huge step forward will arise with the new 802.11n standard. Performance and security are the two measures commonly used to compare the standards. (more…)

Securing a Wireless Network

Wireless network is a great alternative which offers a lot of benefits and flexibility. Do you want to or need to think of security? 

Just putting in an 802.11a, b, or g network is not enough. Just because the wireless standard is supposed to be secure doesn’t mean it really is by default. The 802.11b standard, especially, is very open to risk from outside intrusion. (more…)

How does DNS Works ?

Domain name Servers (DNS) are an important but invisible part of the internet, and form one of the largest databases on it. Each machine on an internet is assigned a unique address, called an IP address, which is 32 bit number and is expressed as 4 octets.
